Jef Boes (Turnhout 1983) is an award-winning photographer and filmmaker, based in Belgium. With a background in art direction and photography,

The son of a printer and a pediatric nurse, he blends a tactile eye with a human focus. His work always begins with a clear idea,  from conceptual to purely visual, then seeks authenticity on set: natural light, minimal direction, and room for chance. His images feel close and unpolished; he’s known for “disappearing” behind the camera and finding the slightly imperfect moments where real emotion shows. He lives with his book-loving partner and their two creative children.

from commercials and music videos to documentaries and short films.

He has been recognized multiple times as one of the Luerzers Archive 200 Best Photographers Worldwide, a testament to his talent and creativity.
